Now, I must state that there are plenty of rides within Magic Kingdom that don’t have any type of height requirement! Bringing little ones to Magic Kingdom will be a blast regardless of their height.
But it is still important to Understand Disney World Height Requirements just in case they are looking forward to a specific ride. When visiting a Disney park, you can never be too prepared!
Magic Kingdom Frontierland Height Requirements
There are a total of 4 attractions in Frontierland. Of those four, there are only two that have any height requirement.
These attractions are definitely geared toward thrill seekers, as both of these rides are coasters.
Splash Mountain – 40″ (102 cm) or taller
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 40″ (102 cm) or taller

Magic Kingdom Fantasyland Height Requirements
Fantasyland is filled with all the nostalgia from childhood! Here you will find all of the classic Disney story rides. This is why there aren’t a lot of rides in this area that have height requirements.
The Brainstormer – 35″ (89 cm) or taller
Magic Kingdom Tomorrowland Height Requirements
Tomorrowland is the perfect mix of imagination and future thinking. There are plenty of attractions for all ages here in Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland Speedway – 32″ (81 cm) OR 54″ (137 cm)*
Note: *If the child is between 32″ (81 cm) and 53″ (135 cm) then the child must be accompanied by an adult. It is only if the child is 54″ (137 cm) or taller, that they will be able to ride alone.
Space Mountain – 44″ (112 cm) or taller

What is the height requirement for Magic Kingdom rides?
There is no set height requirement for rides at Magic Kingdom. It truly depends on the nature of the ride.
However, If you wish for your child to be tall enough to not worry about any height requirement at Magic Kingdom, then it is best to wait until they are at least 44″ (112 cm) tall.
Children 54″ (137 cm) or taller are able to ride alone on Tomorrowland Speedway. This is the ‘tallest’ minimum height requirement, and it is only to allow the children to ride solo.
How tall do kids have to be to ride at Magic Kingdom?
Magic Kingdom is the Walt Disney World park with one of the least height requirements. In order for your children to enjoy most of the rides, they should be about 40″ (102 cm) or taller.
If you wish to not have to worry about Magic Kingdom Height Requirements altogether, then you should wait to take children until they are 54″ (137 cm) tall.

Can a 3-year-old ride Splash Mountain?
Splash mountain has a minimum height requirement of 40″ (102 cm). The average height of a 3-year-old (in the United States) is about 38″ (96 cm). This means that as a general rule of thumb, a 3-year-old wouldn’t be able to ride Splash Mountain.
If your 3-year-old is 40″ (102 cm) then they will be able to ride Splash Mountain.
Can a 4-year-old ride Space Mountain?
Space Mountain has a minimum height requirement of 44″ (112 cm), the average height of a 4-year-old (in the United States) is about 40″ (102 cm).
Unless your 4-year-old is taller than average and able to meet the 44″ (112 cm) height requirement they will not be able to ride Space Mountain.
Be sure to measure your children before you head to the parks, in the shoes that they are going to wear to prevent any issues at the parks.
How many rides are at Magic Kingdom?
There are quite a few different rides at Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom has rides for you whether you are a thrill seeker or prefer a more relaxing ride.

Of those 31 attractions, only 5 of them have height requirements. Making Magic Kingdom a great Disney park for the whole family, where you can easily spend a whole day.
