Disneyland Height Requirements
Taking a trip to Disneyland is sometimes a once-in-a-lifetime trip. When planning, one thing that is often forgotten is to check Disneyland height requirements for rides and attractions.
And the last thing that you want is to take a trip to Disneyland and not be able to take the kids on rides that they really want to go on because they don’t quite make the height requirement.

Disneyland Rides
Disneyland is a famous theme park to visit for attractions for the whole family to enjoy. As eager you may be to take the young ones on classic rides, there are many that have height requirements.
Here is the rough breakdown of Disneyland height requirements that you will find throughout visiting the park. Keep these in mind when planning the family trip to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure.
The height requirements are broken down by the different lands throughout the parks, in an effort to make trip planning easier. This will help in analyzing which rides to knock out first, and create a game plan.
All of these heights I got directly from the Disneyland App. Which I also highly recommend getting and downloading prior to your trip. It will be beneficial to seriously take a few minutes to get familiar with the app can save a lot of time and help tremendously in planning.

Additional Information
As always, I recommend also checking out Disneyland’s website directly for any and all updated height requirements on the rides. Their FAQ page on height requirements can be found here.
Also while these height requirements may mean that the little one might not be tall enough to go on your favorite ride, please remember that these requirements are for the safety of the guests.
The last thing to remember is that you should always check which rides are going to be closed for refurbishment. Rides typically go down for regular maintenance checkups, as well as to change for special holiday specials.

No Height Requirement Rides
Seeing all of these Disneyland height requirements, you might be wondering what is left to ride. Well, there are a lot of rides that don’t have any type of height requirement. Even without a height requirement, these rides can be a lot of fun for all ages.
Again the rides are broken down to the lands within Disneyland to make it easier on planning. If you have really little children, it is probably best to stick around Fantasyland, as that has the most non-height requirements attractions, as well as a lot of characters to meet.

The Wrap Up: Disneyland Height Requirements
Disneyland can be a fun place for everyone in the family to enjoy. When planning a trip it is important to keep the Disneyland height requirements in mind.
If you are going to Disneyland with young children, that are under the minimum height requirement there are still lots of options to take them on.
As you can tell there are a lot of rides within both parks that don’t have any height requirements. All that is required is a bit of planning to ensure that you hit all the rides that you can that work for the height of your children.
Also, remember that there are two times that a child will get measured for height. The first one is done by a cast member when you are about to enter the line, the second time is just before you hop on the ride.
This can have its positives and negatives, just because a child clears the first cast member that checks the height, doesn’t mean that the child will pass the second cast member. This could mean that a rider switch is necessary so that everyone within the party will be able to ride.
