Tangaroa Terrace is bringing quite a few new items to their breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus!

Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is known for their character dining experiences, and having some of the best ones that the Disneyland Resort has to offer. Once again, they are adding to their character dining experiences with Donald Duck!

This new Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet will feature Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and some of their other friends in new adventure outfits. The dinner buffet will include campfire-style bbq menu.

The character dining experience will be held at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Be sure to check back to the blog for a full review of this new character dining experience.

Closing The Gates On: Disneyland Resort Summer Menus

The Disneyland Resort is bringing some new items to the Disneyland Resort Hotels for the summer months! Get ready for some delicious items you can enjoy throughout the whole day.

With new summer items being added to breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, there is bound to be something new to enjoy no matter what time you decide to grab a snack.

Unfortunately, Disneyland has just announced that due to the construction plans that will be happening throughout the Disneyland Resort, RunDisney events will be put on pause in 2026.

This means that the last RunDisney event at the Disneyland Resort will be the 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. It is currently scheduled for the weekend of January 29, 2026, and will take place from January 29 until February 1, 2026.

The registration for the Disneyland 2026 Half Marathon Weekend will open April 29, 2026 at 7 am PT (10 AM ET)

Since the fall of 2024, there has been many changes, new shops and restaurants added, and there are going to be so many more coming over the next year. It is going to be hard to keep up!

Which is why this post will break down all of the details of what is coming to the Downtown Disney District. This post will include all of the details, from when these new places will open, and what else you can expect in to open in the new future.

Downtown Disney Updates: April 2025

Disney has announced a few more stores and restaurants that will be added to the Downtown Disney District! And these are one’s that you aren’t going to want to miss!

The Downtown Disney District has been an ever-changing spot the past year, and it is incredible to see what Disney has been able to bring in to the district.

Lululemon

That’s right, Downtown Disney District is getting it’s own Lululemon Store! But this location will be special, as it will offer a variety of different gear, as well as some collaboration apparel.

The new Lululemon will be located where the former ESPN Zone building was at.

Nectar Life

If you don’t know, Nectar Life is a “beauty essentials and bakery-inspired bath treats” shop where you can get all of your handmade items. All of Nectar Life‘s items are handmade, and utilize vegan, natural, and plant-based ingredients.

What will make this location special is that the Downtown Disney District location will be the only location with a customization bar! This is where you can create your own bath and beauty products how you want!

Nectar Life is set to open later in 2025, and will be located near Avengers Reserve

Bopo Go!

Downtown Disney District wouldn’t be complete without its own boba cafe, and soon it will have it’s very own. Bopo Go! was created by the co-owners of Bopomofo Café, Eric Want and Philip Wang. You can expect to get great quality and authentic boba/bubble tea when you go to Bopo Go!

All of the tea is sourced from Taiwan, and the matcha is source from Japan! So you know that you will be getting only the finest boba when you go to Bopo Go!

Bopo Go! is currently in the concept planning phase, and more details will be released as it becomes available!

Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon

This steakhouse will serve the best of the best of beef, seafood, and sandwiches. Additionally, there will be a wide selection of bourbons and cocktails to enjoy with your meal.

The menu was designed by Michelin-Star Chef Joe Isidori.

Pearl’s Roadside BBQ

Another restaurant with a menu created by Michelin-Star Chef Joe Isidori, but Pearl’s Roadside BBQ will be a quick service restaurant. At Pearl’s Roadside BBQ you will be able to find mouth-watering dishes that blend traditional North Carolina cookouts and modern barbecue techniques.

You will be able to taste the talent in favored dishes like; pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked turkey. Additionally you will be able to enjoy all of the barbeque with house-made sauces and moonshine cocktails.

Downtown Disney Updates: February 2025

The new year has brought many new things to the Downtown Disney District! Here are some of the newest updates in restaurants, entertainment and shopping that you have to look forward to when you visit the Disneyland Resort!

New Downtown Disney Restaurants

As mentioned in previous updates, there are many new restaurants that will be opening up this year! Here are some of the new ones that have opened, as well as information about the ones that are still coming!

Parkside Market

This new eatery will bring 4 different restaurants in one place! That’s right, at Parkside Market you can enjoy different restaurants under one roof! Parkside Market will have the following restaurants:

• Sip & Sonder – serving a variety of lattes, fresh treats, and small bites
• Seoul Sister – serving Korean-style rice bowls
• GG’s Chicken Shop – serving chicken salads, and everything chicken
• Vista Parkside Market – serving signature cocktails, mocktails, and everything in-between

Parkside Market opened in December 2024.

Din Tai Fung

Enjoy the many flavors of Taiwanese cuisine at Din Tai Fung. This is the first freestanding restaurant that highlights the art of Xiao Long Bao (a dumpling dish). The menu has a wide variety of different dumplings, as well as some classic favorites such as; String Beans with Garlic, Cucumber Salad, Spicy Wontons, and more. All of the dishes are served family-style (sharing portions).

Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita

These three restaurants were created by Michelin-Star Chef Carlos Gaytán. Even though these three restaurants were created by the same Chef, they each offer their own unique dishes, cocktails, and environment.

• Paseo – offers upscale, Mexican Cuisine, indoor restaurant
• Céntrico – offers classic Mexican dishes, open-air seating
• Tiendita – offers to-go Mexican street style dishes

The D-Lander Shop

If you’re looking for a modern take on Disney apparel, then look no further. The D-Lander Shop will be your one and only stop to enjoy various apparel collections, handbags, and jewelry. Disneyland Valentine’s Day Treats

Valentine’s Day is a fun day to spend at Disneyland, and if you can’t make it on the love day, don’t fret; you’re in luck as these delicious treats are available for a few weeks before Valentine’s Day.

That’s right. Thankfully, Disney doesn’t offer sweet treats for one day only. These loveable treats will be available for most of February, giving you plenty of time to hurry down to the Disneyland Resort to enjoy these mouthwatering dishes.

Yes! Disneyland hosts an After Dark event called Sweetheart’s Nite. It is a limited, separate ticketed event, that sells out quickly.

Is Valentine’s Day crowded at Disneyland?

While holidays in the fall tend to bring big crowds to Disneyland, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have as big of an impact on crowds.

This year, 2025, Valentine’s Day is on a Friday, which means that there is a higher chance of more crowds than previous years when the holiday landed in the middle of the week.

Increasing ticket prices are never something you want to hear. And Disneyland, once again, has increased ticket prices. These ticket increases apply not just to general admission tickets but also to the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Magic Key prices.

Now, before we start getting upset about the costs going up, let’s take a moment and think about everything that has changed around the Disneyland resort, as well as everything that’s going to change over the next few years.

Over the next few years we are going to see two new lands coming to the Disneyland Resort, as well as new attractions, shows, and parades. Additionally, Disneyland just did a major revamp of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (formerly Splash Mountain), and Haunted Mansion.

And this doesn’t even cover all of the changes that are happening around the Downtown Disney District! So it’s no wonder that the ticket prices are going to go up to help cover the cost of all of this renovation.

In this post, we will review all ticket increases, from general admission to Magic Keys, and what you need to know if you purchased tickets before the increase.

Why Does Disneyland Increase Ticket Prices?

Every time there is a Disneyland ticket price increase, everyone asks ‘why.’ Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like them either.

However, I have seen a trend with them announcing a price increase shortly after Disneyland announces some way that they will add to the parks, whether with new attractions, characters, a new themed event, expansions, etc.

This year is no different. At the D23 event, Disney announced that it is going to get at least two new lands and two new attractions to Avengers Campus. This is on top of the 70th Anniversary celebration that will be taking place in 2025.

It is easy to get excited over all of the new things that are in the works for Disneyland but to build all of that; the money has to come from somewhere.

Disneyland Ticket Increases

Again, tickets prices are never something fun to hear. Especially when you’re close to going on a magical vacation!

However, it is important to note that this is becoming an annual announcement that Disneyland makes every October.

Previous year’s ticket increase dates:
– October 25, 2021: 6-8% increase
– October 11, 2022: 5-8% increase
– October 11, 2023: 6-8% increase

Followed by this year’s announcement, October 9, 2024, with a 6% increase.

This means that it is probably safe to say that ticket costs will increase by 6% every year.

If you don’t already know, Disneyland general admission tickets are done on a tiered system. Each tier is set, therefore depending on what day of the week, and what month you go to Disneyland, the ticket cost can be different.

Single-Day Single-Park Tickets

Currently, Disneyland has six different tiers of tickets. Of those six, only five showed a price increase, with the highest ticket increasing 6.5%. Remember, these are for single-day, single-park ticket prices.

The Six Tier Tickets Increase:

Tier 0 – $104
Tier 1 – $126
Tier 2 – $142
Tier 3 – $164
Tier 4 – $180
Tier 5 – $196
Tier 6 – $206

Now, unfortunately you cannot select the tier you pay when you go. The Tier is already pre-set from Disney. The higher tier tickets are typically set for days that Disney thinks is going to be peak days. Peak Days are typically for holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.), and busy Holiday weekends.

Multi-Day One-Park Tickets

No tickets were excluded from the ticket price increase. Multi-day tickets also saw a price increase. They start at a 2-Day, 1-Park per day and can go up to a 5-Day, 1-Park ticket. Most of these Multi-Day tickets went up 6.5%.

Here are the increases in Multi-Day tickets:

Multiday tickets saw similar hikes. Two-day, one-park tickets rose to $330 (from $310), while three-day tickets now cost $415 for single-park access (up from $390).

Disneyland Park Hopping Ticket Increase

The ticket increases just keep on rolling, even to the Park Hopping Ticket add-on that you can do.

Last year (2023), Disneyland changed how the Park hopper tickets worked. Pre-2023, if you wanted a park hopper ticket, you could just select that type of ticket, and it would be a flat rate of $60 per ticket, per day for park hopping.

Now, Disneyland charges different prices for park hopping, which now depends on the type of ticket that you get. So let’s break down how much it would be to add-on the park hopping option to your ticket.

It is important to note that the prices, are how much it would cost to add-on per ticket. This means that if you are a family of 4 and you are buying four adult tickets and add the park hopping; for 2 days, the tickets will start at $415, per person!

Magic Key Price Increase

That’s right. The cost of the tickets increased, as did the prices of the Magic Keys. And the increased cost of Magic Keys was significantly much more than the increase in ticket prices.

Magic Keys are not open for sale but only for renewal. In previous years, we will see the reopening of Magic Key sales after the increase in Magic Key prices. I just wanted to let you know that nothing has been announced so far.

Multi-Pass Lightning Lane Price Increase

Along with ticket prices increasing, Disneyland also announced that the base cost of the Multi-Pass Lightning Lane (previously called Genie+) will also be increasing.

Prior to the October 11 announcement, the base cost of Lightning Lane Multi-Pass started at $30, but increased depending upon the day.

For example, during my October trip (just before the price increase), we paid $36 per person per day for Lightning Lane Multi-Pass. During my December trip (a month after the price increase), we paid $36 per person for the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass.

The Lightning Lane Multi-Pass base cost is $32 with the increased prices. That is only a $2 increase in cost, but it can add up quickly. Additionally, that is the base price for the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, meaning that it will be the cheapest.

For example, a family of four, this can be at least (at the bare minimum) a $8 increase in cost. That is pretty much the cost of 2 churros!! Personally, I’d rather spend the money on churros.

Quick Guide to Disneyland Price Increase

Okay, that was a lot of information, so let’s list it all out in an easy table view.

Disclaimer: Prices vary by day. The prices listed here are set to the base rate for each ticket. When you purchase tickets, they might cost more than the listed prices.

What If I Already Bought Disneyland Tickets?

Now, if you already had a Disney vacation planned prior to the October ticket price increase, you might be wondering what this means for you. The positive is that your vacation that is already booked, will not see the increase in price.

This means you got lucky and locked in the ‘old’ rates for tickets, so your vacation won’t cost you any more then you’ve already paid.

There will be no difference between you being locked in at the cheaper price and those who are paying for the higher-priced tickets.

Disneyland Ticket Increase FAQ

How much was the Disneyland price increase?

The average Disneyland Ticket price increase was around 6%. The increase affected five out of the seven tiers of tickets, as well as Park Hopper Tickets, Lightning Lane Muli-Pass, and Magic Keys.

How much is a one day ticket to Disneyland?

A one day ticket cost will depend upon the day of the week, and the month that you decide to go on.

The cheapest ticket could be $104 (tier 0), and the most expensive ticket will cost $206 (tier 6). Of course, this is just for a basic one-day, one-park ticket. This doesn’t include the cost of if you get a Park Hopper Ticket, or include the cost of Lightning Lane MultiPass.

What is the cheapest day of the week to go to Disneyland?

It is easy to say that any day other then the weekend is going to be cheaper. But it isn’t quite that simple.

Yes, weekends are going to be more expensive then other days, however Thursdays and Fridays are also some pretty pricey days depending on when it is. For example, if they fall on a holiday weekend, during spring break, or during summer months.

Summer will be more expensive than other times of the year, except for Halloween. Halloween is probably the most expensive time to visit the Disneyland Resort.

Are Disneyland tickets cheaper after a certain time?

One of the cheapest times to go to Disneyland is during the first few months of the new year. The holidays officially end in early January. After that, there isn’t much happening until February/March, when the Food & Wine Festival starts at Disney California Adventure Park.

Additionally, since Disneyland seems to be increasing ticket prices every October, I would highly recommend buying tickets earlier in the year, then in the fall. This will help you lock in the ‘cheaper’ rates, vs paying for tickets shortly after the price increases.

Disneyland increased prices to a nearly every ticket that they sell, including their Magic Keys (their annual pass program). On average tickets saw a 6% increase in price. This might not sound like a lot, but when you look at the cost for the whole family to go, it is a lot.

Obviously, dealing with increased prices is never something anyone wants. But if something positive can come from this, it is that there will be a lot of new things joining the Disneyland Resort over the next few years.

With many plans for new attractions, lands, hotels, restaurants, and more, Disneyland is going to be putting the money to use.

The long-anticipated reopening of Hungry Bear Jamboree is right around the corner! And with it’s grand re-opening comes a brand new Barbecue menu with so many mouth watering dishes!

Now we don’t have an official re-open date for Hungry Bear Jamboree, but we anticipate it to be happening very soon since Disneyland just released their first look at their new menu!

Hungry Bear Jamboree Menu: The Back Story

Now every good thing at Disney has a backstory, and restaurants are no different. Each one has its own story for how it fits within the park, and the surrounding area. Earlier this year, The Hungry Bear Restaurant closed for refurbishment. Now we know it it because of the Country Bears.

The backstory behind their new menu, is that the Country Bears have finished their world tour traveling all around, and have been inspired to add some of their favorites to the menu.

Hungry Bear Jamboree Menu: Entrees

Are you ready to explore these all new mouth watering entrees that will be coming to Disneyland?! There are so many great choices it will be hard to select just one.

The Wrap-Up: Hungry Bear Jamboree Menu

The Hungry Bear restaurant located in Critter County in Disneyland has been under renovations for what feels like an eternity! A few months ago, Disneyland announced that the restaurant would be returning under the name of Hungry Bear Jamboree.

And finally we have an appetizing menu to go along with the exciting new theming of the restaurant. This Hungry Bear Jamboree Menu brings back delicious barbecue to Disneyland. Something that has been missing for quite a while.

Now we don’t have an official reopening date for Hungry Bear Jamboree. But I think it is safe to say that it should be within the next month or so since the menu has been released!

Disneyland has gone all out with this menu featuring some delicious new and improved classic barbecue recipes.

That’s right; this Disneyland news comes from what feels like nowhere for Disney fans. However, they aren’t going to complain about it because it is exciting news!

This announcement was just a teaser of details, and Disney has stated that they will be giving more information on this expansion.

Haunted Mansion Expansion: Announcement

Disney recently announced that there would be a new Haunted Mansion expansion coming in 2024.

This new expansion includes a new and expanded outdoor queue that will bring the local legends behind Haunted Mansion to life. This includes areas inspired by Madame Leota, the one-eyed cat, as well as Master Gracey.

Additionally, there will be a new retail shop by the attraction exit. This shop is where Madam Leota will continue her presence outside of the attraction. That is all that has been teased about this new shop, with more information in the future.

It has also been teased that the plaza area between Haunted Mansion and Tiana’s Palace will get re-themed to create a new relaxing area where guests can enjoy live entertainment and more.

Accessibility Changes

None of the expansion will change the Haunted Mansion attraction, except for the few major changes that are happening to make the ride more accessible for guests will disabilities. A new elevator exit will be built to make the attraction more accessible.

Disney has a real knack for creating areas that look like the concept art. And I have to admit that this concept art is stunning!

It will be really exciting to see the concept art come to life as this Haunted Mansion expansion continues to unfold.

Haunted Mansion Expansion: Virtual Queue Access

This fall, Disneyland has announced that the Haunted Mansion Holiday will be available during the Halloween Season at the Disneyland Resort. Guests can only enjoy this attraction via a virtual queue (in the Disneyland App).

To get a virtual queue pass for the Haunted Mansion, go to the Disneyland app (be sure to have your tickets linked to your account). On the home page, there is a ‘Virtual Queue’ section. There you select Disneyland Park, and are able to try and get virtual queue passes for the attraction at the designated times.

Pro-tip: If you are wanting to get the virtual queue passes, I recommend being logged in and having the app open a few minutes before when the queue opens. This way you can just hit refresh, and you have a better chance at getting them.

Trying to get a virtual queue for the Haunted Mansion can only be attempted at 7 am, (prior to scanning into the park), and 12 noon (after your tickets have been scanned). If you aren’t able to get a virtual queue pass at this time, then you are outta luck.

Once you get your virtual queue, the app will notify you when your boarding group is being called. Once it is called, you have an hour to go to the attraction to redeem the virtual queue. If you miss your redemption time, you cannot try again.

It is important that you make sure that you are at the Haunted Mansion for your time slot, otherwise you will not be able to use it.

Haunted Mansion Expansion: Grand Re-Opening

Disneyland just announced that on November 26, 2024 the Haunted Mansion will official be reopen for everyone to enjoy (without the need of virtual queue). That’s right, the Standby lane will now be open for Haunted Mansion (and Lightning Lane)!

This refurbishment wasn’t as long as I thought it was going to be. However, to be fair, the refurbishment isn’t complete yet.

While the attraction is completely up and running, and the new expanded grounds are open giving Haunted Mansion attraction their standby lane. Madam Leotta’s shop still isn’t open yet. However, Disneyland promised that it would open sometime this winter.

Here is a more detailed update for each of the parts that are open, and what changed with each area.

New Orleans Square Enhancements

New Orleans Square is now fully open and functional. Magnolia Park is also fully open. Magnolia Park is the area that is in between the Haunted Mansion, Tiana’s Palace and the train station. Typically it is a nice place to relax and enjoy the views and vibes of New Orleans Square.

The area is back open again with plenty of places to enjoy a Mint Julip from Tiana’s Palace!

Grounds of Haunted Mansion

The grounds at Haunted Mansion have officially completed their refurbishment and new and improved look. There are a few more spooky spots to see and explore while in line.

Look for more hidden gems and statues throughout the gardens as you’re waiting in line. The new gardens are a great mix of the Haunted Mansion vibe and Magnolia Park style.

New Operational Features of the Haunted Mansion

Additionally, the standby line is now fully accessible! This means that guests who are in a wheelchair or power chair, don’t need to through the side and walk to enjoy the attraction. And the end of the attraction also includes an elevator lift, making the attraction fully accessible now!

Closing The Gates On: Haunted Mansion Expansion

In the Fall of 2023, Disneyland announced that there was going to be a giant expansion and revamp of the Haunted Mansion attraction. All that was teased with this announcement was that it would be closing in January, and reopening sometime in the future (no date set).

Where this announcement was a shock to everyone, it also lead to a lot of excitement in the anticipation, and materializing of more Haunted Mansion merchandise.

It has been just over a year since the announcement was made of the refurbishment, and I am happy to announce that the grand opening is in sight!

The refurbishment brings many exciting new features to the attraction, one of them being more accessible. If you have been to Disneyland, then you know how much the attractions aren’t very accessible.

Additionally, the Haunted Mansion will be getting a new outside queue area, a new retail shop, and a relaxing ambiance courtyard.

Where extensive refurbishment news like this is never very fun for park goers, it is also something that is very exciting to watch unfold. It is always really cool to see the concept art of projects like this, and then see what the first looks of the project finally is. Disney has an incredible way of making things look just like the concept art.

This announcement was also only for the Haunted Mansion located in Disneyland. No changes are going to be made (as of now) to the Haunted Mansion at Disney World.

If you have a food allergy, Disney did not disappoint when it came to this new quick-service menu! Disney thought of everything when creating the menu and also included special allergy-friendly menus for those with allergies.

Most of the items aren’t ‘new’ items but items on the full menu that have been adapted to be specifically allergy-friendly for guests. Disney does this to try and ensure that every guest gets a similar experience when dining together with friends/family.
