Disney World offers a special ticket for those that wish to visit a specific park after the park closes to the general admission guests. While it is similar to the After Dark Events that are hosted throughout the year, with the After Hours, there is no special celebration or holiday in focus.

Purchasing an After Hours ticket can be a great way to spend a little bit more time in a park with shorter wait times for select rides, special character encounters, as well as special snacks.

In the past, the After Hours events have been very popular, and are only offered on select nights during select months. Disney World has been offering After Hours Nites since January, and originally planned on ending the nites at the beginning of summer. However, they have recently announced that they will be continuing the After Hours Nites until early Fall.

This post will go over everything that you will need to know about Disney World After Hours, so you can learn how to maximize your time, and take advantage of enjoying the parks after the park closes!

What To Expect at After Hours at Disney World

After Hours is a special separate ticketed option for guests who wish to visit Disney World in the evening hours, after the park has closed to the general admission tickets. The After Hours Ticket allows guests to enter the selected park as early as 7 p.m. and allows you to stay for up to three hours after the park has closed!

When you enter the park at 7pm, not only does it mean entering the park prior to the event starting, but it also means that you can enjoy the nighttime spectaculars that are offered at the Park that evening.

Once the event has started, you can enjoy many popular attractions with shorter wait times, meeting your favorite Disney Characters! Additionally you can also enjoy ice cream, popcorn and bottled beverages (included in ticket cost) during the event!

There is no park hopping or Lightning Lane access during the After Dark event. And each park only offers the After Hours on select nights.

Each park, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios offers a slightly different evening in what they each offer during their After Hours.

Let’s break down to see what each park specifically offers, and when the After Hours starts at each park.

Disney World After Hours at Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom was the first Disney World Park to bring back After Hours, on January 6, 2025. And the After Hours event will continue through September.

Note: As of right now, Disney World hasn’t announced the dates for the continuation of After Hours at Magic Kingdom, but we expect to hear them soon.

Since we don’t have the continued dates for Magic Kingdom, this is what we know about the After Hours at Magic Kingdom from the nights that have been held earlier this year.

After Hours at Magic Kingdom officially starts at 10 pm, but ticketed guests will be able to enter Magic Kingdom as early at 7 pm.

There will be a special firework spectacular Disney Enchantment, that will only be available for the guests at Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom.

Pro Tip: If you enter Magic Kingdom at 7 pm for the event, then you will be able to see Happily Ever After (showing for regular park guests), as well as Disney Enchantment in the same evening.

The event ends at 1 am, so if you’re looking to maximize you total time with this ticket, you can enjoy up to 6 hours of added Magic Kingdom fun.

Magic Kingdom After Hours Attractions

Most of the attractions for Magic Kingdom will be available for After Hour guests to enjoy. Including the very popular attractions like: Tron Lightcycle / Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Both of these rides will be available with a standby queue. So you don’t have to worry about the hassle of getting a virtual queue during the After Hours.

Additionally, guests can also enjoy Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan’s Flight, as well as all the other Magic Kingdom favorites.

Before buying tickets to After Hours at Magic Kingdom, be sure to check out the attraction Height Requirements, and check the height of the little ones in your group!

Magic Kingdom After Hours Dates

As stated earlier, After Hours isn’t available every night, but only on select nights from January until May September. All events have so far, taken place on Wednesday nights. It is fairly safe to assume that the Wednesday nights will continue through September.

Disney World After Hours at EPCOT

Disney After Hours at EPCOT takes place on select nights, from February 27 until September 25, 2025. The event officially starts at 10 pm, and goes until 1 am. But remember that guests with an After Hours ticket can enter EPCOT as early as 7 pm.

EPCOT After Hours Attractions

Nearly all EPCOT attractions will be available for guests to enjoy during the After Hours event. Including, but not limited to; Soarin’ Around the World, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros.

Don’t worry, other favorites like Living with the Land, Mission: SPACE, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Spaceship Earth will also be available during the event.

All of these attractions will be available through standby queue, no virtual queue or lightning lane will be available during the After Hours event.

Before buying a ticket for EPCOT After Hours, be sure to double check the height of the little ones in the group, and check out EPCOT Height Requirements.

Characters at After Hours at EPCOT

Like with most other special events that take place at Disney, there will be unique and special meet and greets available to event guests. This can be a great opportunity to meet some of your favorite characters in a different outfit, and usually with less of a wait time.

Guests can look forward to seeing guests like:

• Mickey Mouse – located at the Dreamer statue
• Goofy – located at the DJ Dance party at CommuniCore Plaza
• Minnie Mouse – located at the France gazebo

After Hours at EPCOT: Snacks

Tickets to Disney After Hours also includes some snacks during the event hours. These snacks include Ice Cream, Popcorn, and select bottled beverages!

In order to get these included you must visit one of the following carts:

• Mission: SPACE cart
• Imagination Cart
• Connections Cart
• Fountain Popcorn Cart

Additionally, there will be snacks available for purchase throughout the World Showcase.

EPCOT After Hours Dates

After Hours will be held at EPCOT on select nights from February until September. The event takes place on the following Saturday nights:

Disney World After Hours at Hollywood Studios

Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios kicked off on January 22, 2025. On select nights from January until September, you can enjoy this event. The After Hours officially starts at 9:30 pm and goes until 12:30 am.

The After Hours at Hollywood Studios does start 30 minutes earlier then the After Hours events at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. However, you are still able to get in to the park hours prior to the start of the event, at 7pm.

Hollywood Studios After Hours Attractions

Hollywood Studios has some of the favorite thrilling attractions Disney World has to offer. During the After Hours event, you can look forward to enjoying Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Toy Story Mania!, Alien Swirling Saucers, Slinky Dog Dash, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Note: purchasing event tickets, doesn’t guarantee access to these attractions, and does not take into account any possible closures or refurbishment that could take place during the event dates.

Pro Tip: Measure the height of the little ones, and check out Hollywood Studio height requirements to ensure everyone will be tall enough to ride their favorite rides.

Hollywood Studios After Hours: Snacks

Staying late at a Disney park means you must have a late night snack! Enjoy ice cream, popcorn and bottled beverages from select stations included with the purchase of the event ticket.

The snacks must be ‘purchased’ from one of the following stations:

• Grand Avenue
• Hollywood Boulevard
• Sunset Boulevard
• Toy Story Land

If you’re craving a little something more, these locations will also be available during After Hours. Enjoying food from the following locations will need to be purchased, as they are not included in the purchase of the After Hours ticket.

• Milk Stand
• Woody’s Lunch Box
• KRNR The Rock Station
• Oga’s Cantina (Walk-up availability only)

Hollywood Studios After Hours Dates

After Hours at Hollywood Studios takes place on select nights from January until the start of September. The event usually happens on Friday nights during those months.

The following dates are for After Hours at Hollywood Studios:

*Note that on Friday March 26, and Thursday April 1, the After Hours event time will change to 10 pm until 1 am. This time change for the event will only apply to those two event dates.

After Hours at Disney World: Ticket Cost

The ticket cost for the After Hours event depends on which park and which date you plan on going to. Which is very typical for all of the Disney World events.

It is important to note that this is not a ticket add-on. This After Hours Ticket can be used as a stand alone ticket to get you into the park as early as 7 pm.

The After Hours ticket will only be valid for the date and park that is selected at the time of purchase. This ticket cannot be used to park hop from park to park, and cannot be used to to access After Hours at a different park other then the one that it is purchased for.

If you’re planning on taking advantage of the After Hours, make sure that the night you want to enjoy After Hours is available and is at the park that you want.

The cost of tickets for After Hours at Disney World are the following for the parks:
Magic Kingdom – $175 to $185
EPCOT – $155 to $185
Hollywood Studios – $155 to $185

The cost of the After Hours ticket does depend on which park, and which night you attend.

Now if the price of the tickets seem a bit steep for the amount of time that you spend in the park, it is important to know that you are able to get ice cream, popcorn, and select bottled beverages included (at select locations) with the ticket.

Disney has also announced that Disney World Annual Passholders, as well as Disney Vacation Club members can save $30 per ticket for After Hours at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Ticket sales open on September 4, 2024, for Disney World Resort hotel guests, WDW Swan and Dolphin Hotel guests, as well as Shands of Green hotel guests. On September 10, 2024, After Hours tickets go on sale to the general public.

If you’re planning on purchasing this event ticket, I recommend purchasing your ticket as soon as possible, as most nights sell out quickly.

Closing The Gates On: After Hours at Disney World

One of the best ways to enjoy Disney World is at night, and with the After Hours ticket, guests are able to enjoy a Disney World park on select nights after the park closes to the general public.

An After Hours ticket allows you to access a specific park, on a specific date for hours of fun after the parks have closed to the general public. This is a great way to get all the last minute Disney magic that the parks have to offer.

With limited tickets sold, this means you have a greater chance to ride those attractions that typically have the longest wait times. Didn’t get the virtual queue for a ride you really wanted? Completely fine with the After Hours ticket, as there are no lightning lanes, or virtual queues. Everything is standby lane!

After Hours at Disney World can be a great way to do a half day at a park, or to extend an already great day at a Disney World park that you are having.

After Hours is only available on select nights at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios.

The Holiday Season at Walt Disney World officially kicks off on November 8, 2025! Which means lots of holiday festivities and treats to enjoy! Disney has just announced that they will bring back their newer after-hours holiday event, Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Jollywood Nights!

This is one of the newest events added to the Disney World events, with the first event debuting on November 11, 2023.

Despite Jollywood Nights only being around for the past couple of years, it is very quickly becoming a fun way to celebrate the holidays at Disney World. So you better grab tickets fast, as this event will only happen for 13 select nights!

What to Expect at Jollywood Nights

Jollywood Nights is a Hollywood-style Holiday party with all the bells and whistles! Disney has announced that there will be different areas for guests to enjoy throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Each area offers various festivities, each inspired by different genres.

Here are some things to look forward to at Jollywood Nights:

• A live DJ will be playing a mix of holiday tunes towards the entrance of Hollywood Studios. 
• Kermit and Miss Piggy will host a holiday special (Live!) at Theater of the Stars, which will also include Disney friends.
• Hyperion Theater will host a sing-along to Nightmare Before Christmas called What’s This?
• The Hollywood Brown Derby and the Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard will host limited-capacity entertainment experiences.
• Street fair at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle.
• Enjoy Twilight SiorEE at the Tip Top Club, a.k .a. The Hollywood Tower Hotel.
• Nighttime spectacular Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will return at the night’s end, including state-of-the-art technology and special effects for an incredible ending.

Additionally, guests can look forward to many photo opportunities throughout the night, which will all be complimentary and available for download (as it’s included in the event ticket).

Confirmed Character Appearances:

Special events also mean unique character sightings. The following characters have been confirmed to be present at Jollywood Nights.

• Mickey and Minnie Mouse
• Powerline Max
• Phineas and Ferb
• Edna Mode
• Kermit the Frog
• Miss Piggy

Each of these characters can be found at a different location around the park, including but not limited to Animation Courtyard, Echo Lake, Pixar Place, and more.

But note that this is not a complete list, and additional characters could be seen at the event.

Attractions Available

Another perk of going to a limited-ticketed special event is that most of the attractions in that park are available for guests to enjoy throughout the event. Jollywood Nights is no different!

Even though no Lightning Lanes are available during these special events, the lines are typically shorter because they are held at a limited-capacity, the lines are typically shorter.

If you’re attending Jollywood Nights, you can look forward to Slinky Dog Dash, Rock N’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and many others.

Note: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be utilizing a virtual queue during the Jollywood Nights event.

Hosted by the only Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog, you can look forward to a refreshing new take on the old jolly vignettes. As well as live jazz musicians, singers, and dancers. You might even be lucky enough to see Micky Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Princess Tiana, and Belle!

What’s This? Sing-Along:

At Hyperion Theater, you can join Jack Skellington for a sing-along adventure that was inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

This new sing-along adventure joints Jack Skellington and his friends on a journey to unknown places to conquer Oogie Boogie! With all your favorite songs from Tim Burton’s original movie, this is a fun holiday scene to enjoy.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!:

Now, this isn’t the first time that Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM has been a nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World. However, with its grand return, it will only be returning for the select Jollywood Nights and will only be available for those Jollywood Night guests.

If you are unfamiliar with Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM, then you are in for a real treat. This nighttime projection show will showcase some favorite holiday moments from Disney films. With projections being on the Chinese Theater, it truly is an incredible show filled with some of the best technology and fireworks for a remarkable show.

Jollywood Nights Dates:

As stated before, this will only take place on thirteen select nights during the holiday at Disney’s Holiday Studios. That’s right, this is a very limited, select nights, during November and December will you have a chance to attend this unique holiday party!

Jollywood Nights Hours:

This holiday extravaganza starts at 7:30 pm and ends at 12:30 am, which means this is a four-hour event to get into the holiday spirit.

Those who do have tickets to Jollywood Nights are allowed to enter the parks as early as 5:30 pm if you enter the event at 5:30 pm, that gives you an additional hour and a half to enjoy yourself.

(You also don’t need a theme park reservation to enter the park at 5:30 pm!)

Another perk to getting there earlier than the 7:30 pm start time is that you can hit the ground running at 7:30, and not be stuck in a line waiting to enter when it starts.

While even with the extra hour and a half, it might not seem like enough time to enjoy all of the festivities, that’s because it isn’t. There never is enough time to do everything that you want to do during these after-hours events. Trust me, time just always seems to fly by!

This is why it is best to understand as much as you can about what activities and festivities you wish to do during the evening and make a priority list. This will help make it easier to tackle the most important things.

Jollywood Nights Cost

Tickets for Jollywood Nights will be on sale starting July 22, to the general public.

As with most special events at Disney, tickets went on sale for select Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests on July 16.

The price range for tickets (from previous years) is $159 to $179 per person. The ticket prices for adults and children three and up are the same.

What is included with Jollywood Nights?

Your Jollywood Nights ticket includes entrance into the separate limited-capacity ticketed event, complimentary downloads of photos from the event, special character meet and greets, a holiday-themed menu to order from, and so much more.

Does Jollywood Nights include food?

Is Jollywood Nights for kids?

Jollywood Nights can be for kids. There is no age restrictions on any of the festivities that take place at the event.* However, it is important to knat that the cost of a child’s ticket is the same cost as an adult ticket. Which is fairly common for after-hours special events.

Some argue that not having a child’s price for ticket’s means that they are discouraging children from attending, but it simply isn’t true. Disney has done that for nearly all of their separate ticketed events, Jollywood Nights is no different.

However, if you do have children and you are torn between going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights, I would take smaller children to Mickey’s Very Merry, and older children to Jollywood Nights.

*Exception being that guests need to have valid ID and over 21 years old to purchase and consume alcohol.

What time can you enter Hollywood Studios for Jollywood Nights?

Guests with a valid Jollywood Nights ticket can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios as early as 5:30 pm, about an hour and a half before the event starts.

If your goal is to make the most of your time and not have to wait in a line-up to enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I would recommend getting there a little before 5:30 pm to ensure you get into the park in a timely manner.

What time does Hollywood Studios close for Jollywood Nights 2025?

If you have a regular park ticket and are in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you need to know that the park will close at 7 pm. This is only for guests who do not have tickets to that night’s Jollywood Nights event.

This is only about an hour earlier than a normal night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as the park typically closes at 9 pm. However, I would always recommend checking the official park hours on the My Disney Experience App to confirm prior to your trip. 

Closing The Gates On: Jollywood Nights Guide

Jollywood Nights is a holiday-themed, limited-capacity, separate ticketed event that takes place on thirteen select nights in November and December in Disney’s Hollywood Studios park!

Jollywood Nights will include unique character meet and greets, complimentary photo downloads, a special Jollywood Nights menu filled with desserts and tasty dishes, and entertainment.

The event goes from 7:30 pm until 12:30 am! Giving you five hours of pure holiday fun! Tickets are on sale starting July 22. If you wish to attend, you better purchase the tickets quickly!

This is the first look at the Roundup Rodeo Menu, and the items on the menu (listed here) are subject to change, I will do my best to keep this menu updated as frequently as possible.

As of right now, this will be the menu for the debut on March 23.

Ever since the opening of Toy Story Land, in 2018, guests have been saying that it needs, a table-service restaurant. The wait is over, and soon Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be joining the list of table-service restaurants at Disney World.

This restaurant has been in the works for quite some time and it is great to finally say that within a few months, the restaurant will be open to guests with some mouthwatering plates!

Let’s dive into everything that this new restaurant is going to be offering guests.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ: Announcement

The announcement of a new restaurant joining Disney World was announced years ago. The Roundup Rodeo BBQ was supposed to be joining Toy Story Land as a table service restaurant, in 2020.

With how that year went, it was no surprise when the restaurant never opened and a delayed status was given. Years have passed with no update.

Finally, towards the end of 2022, Disney announced that on March 23^rd, 2023, the much anticipated (and needed) table service restaurant will be opening!

Roundup Rodeo BBQ: First Look

The concept art that was released for Roundup Rodeo is truly incredible. Disney Imagineers have outdone themselves (once again) in getting the Toy Story world to come to life.

This restaurant really helps guests feel like they have shrunk down to the size of a toy, and are a part of the movie.

Now concept art is one thing, but the first-look images that Disney has released are also incredible! No detail was missed when creating this all-immersive, table-service restaurant.

The menu for Roundup Rodeo BBQ looks absolutely incredible! There are a wide variety of food options that are sure to please everyone!

Like Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs, There’s a Sausage in My Boot, Buckin’ Baked Beans, Goat’s Apple Pie, and many more!

And don’t think that because it is a BBQ place that there aren’t plant-based options. Disney has really outdone itself by creating a plant-based menu (available upon request) filled with delicious options.

Like Gruff’s Peach-Strawberry Pie, Campfire-roasted Vegetables, Slow-smoked Cauliflower, and more!

Roundup Rodeo BBQ: Reservations

The newest table-service restaurant coming to Disney World is going to be opening reservations on Tuesday, February 21^st. Even though the restaurant doesn’t open up until March 23^rd, 2023, reservations are opening almost a month beforehand.

Disney is definitely expecting this restaurant to book up quickly, so be sure to make your reservations when they open.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ: Pricing

At Disney World, table service restaurants are typically on the higher end compared to food carts, and quick service. However, it is because most of Disney’s table service restaurants provide guests with a one-of-a-kind immersive experience.

The Roundup Rodeo BBQ is going to be no exception. Guests will be able to enjoy both lunch and dinner here.

Lunch prices are between $35 – $60, per adult

Dinner prices are between $35 – $60, per adult

Currently, there is no listed distinction between lunch and dinner offerings. Nor is there anything listed for child pricing.

How tall do you have to be for Hollywood studios?

There isn’t a set height that guests have to be at in order to enter the park. There are rides and attractions for guests of all ages and heights.

However, if you don’t want to have to worry about any type of height requirements, then wait until children are at least 48″ (122 cm).

What rides at Disney require 48 inches?

At Hollywood Studios, there is only one attraction that requires guests to be 48″ (122 cm) tall. And that is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith. Which is more of a thrill-ride experience for guests.

What rides at Hollywood studios have no height requirement?

There are very few rides at Hollywood Studios that don’t have any type of height requirement. They are as follows; Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Toy Story Mania!

The other attractions that don’t have any height requirements are shows and characters.

What is the best age for Hollywood studios?

Hollywood Studios is definitely a park that I wouldn’t fully recommend for young toddlers. Where there are a few fun things that they would enjoy, Hollywood Studios is really geared towards older and taller guests.

With that being said, I personally would say that the best age for Hollywood Studios would be ages 8 and above. That way they can enjoy pretty much everything at the park, from rides to attractions.

Is Hollywood Studios fun for a 5-year-old?

There certainly are quite a lot of things that a 5-year-old can do at Hollywood Studios. They should be tall enough to go on almost all of the rides.

However, Hollywood Studios might not be as fun as Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom. Keep that in mind as you explore the map for Hollywood Studios.
